Whenever I get the chance to help a couple document their pregnancy, I get over zealous with how many looks I want to create. I absolutely love taking maternity photographs and being a part of such special moments. It brings me such joy! It is never lost on me how lucky I am to be able to do what I love and help create memories for so many people.

This gorgeous mom and dad wanted to do a little bit of everything; from a dressed up look lakeside, to sexy & formal in studio shots. All my maternity sessions come with in studio & on-location options, so I was so excited to create this session for my clients who wanted to do both! When the couple arrived, I could tell they were both excited and nervous, having never done this before. I took a minute to reassure them that, I would do everything I could to make sure they both felt comfortable and heard.

My goal with every session is to make sure that all my clients leave their session feeling confident, celebrated, and well, just amazing!

*A note for all future clients* Since I style these sessions myself and I know they can sometimes be out of your comfort zone, you and I will talk and start making a plan weeks before your actual session. We will talk about outfits, poses, possible backdrops, and even your hair and makeup; which is included in the session fee. Elegance In Studio

From these in studio images highlighting her beautiful pregnant belly, to the romantic couple shots, this session could not have been better. Choosing from my own collection of maternity outfits and lingerie, this mom to be chose some classic black and white lace pieces, which added some subtle elegance to the shoot.

With every maternity session, I recommend capturing a few nude images. Whether the images are full, partial, or implied nudity, it is a great way to remember exactly what your body looked like. Anything we do is within your comfort and completely up to you.

This very smitten dad was ever so attentive! It was wonderful to see him participate in each setup. I loved that he wanted to be there to share in these moments. He was right by his wife’s side, helping her, encouraging her, and telling her how stunning she looked in every outfit.

Lakeside Images to Last a Lifetime

Between the colors of the sky, the green fields, and the shoreline, it was just incredible. We decided to go with the pink and white gowns outdoors because it complimented the scene so well. Both mom and dad looked so in love in these lakeside shots.

There are a few moments in life that you will never want to forget and as a photographer, trust me when I say that this is one of those times. I know it can be intimidating and even stressful, but I promise you will be so happy you did it. Taking maternity photographs is a way to celebrate not just your baby, but also yourself, for doing something so amazing. Not to mention, it’s something you and your partner can reflect on for years to come and remember how much you love each other.
