Twins are twice the cuteness, twice the love. But for a newborn photographer, they are twice the work. Trying to make sure that each baby is in the right position and making sure the light is evenly lit, is always a challenge. Not to mention, if one is awake, or eating, or pooping, I have to wait until they are done and settled again to repose them with their sibling. As a newborn twin photographer, I have a lot of experience with newborns, and the patience and skill that it takes to get my littlest clients to sleep and posed just right. And of course, twin newborn photos are always the most adorable. I am so excited because this year, I have 5 sets of twin newborn sessions booked, AND, a triplet session booked! I cannot wait to share all this cuteness with you!
Here’s a sneak peek into my recent Newborn Twin session.

My latest little twins were just adorable. The little girl was definitely more awake than her brother and wanted to check out the world more, but with the help from my assistant and her pacifier, we were able to get her soothed. Check them out all snuggled up together, tucked into the blanket. Their cheeks looked adorable sticking out just above the blanket.
I got right into posing them together on my beautiful white blanket. I always love posing twins snuggled together, especially with one laying on the other. When positioning the babies, I always put the bigger baby on the bottom, in this case the little girl. I had to get her into position and asleep, then, I placed the baby boy in the set-up. How cute are they sleeping together!
I had fun placing them together in my little antique wooden crate, using my neutral tones I love so much. They looked so cute, with baby sister’s arms wrapped around her brother. Next we placed them in a wooden bucket and added a pop of color with my teal sheepskin. This was a tricky pose because as soon as I would have one twin positioned right the other would wiggle him/herself out of my light. Finally, I got them just right and got the perfect shot. Even though twins are so cute photographed together, I always like to get individual photos of each baby. This way, we can let their own personality show. I decided to place each one of them in one of my little beds. The boy was in my wooden bed with a blue color theme. He looked so peaceful sleeping away in the bed. I loved how his hair stuck up as he dreamed away. Next, I put his sister in my little, white wooden bed with a pink theme. I love the little pink wrap and hat she wore. It was so girlie and feminine. These two were definitely adorable!
Birds of a Feather..
For their final pose, their mom requested the use of my large handmade newborn nest. To see how I made it, please check this post out: How to make a Newborn Nest Prop. I loved posing them with their legs all entwined while they slept. I love being a Newborn Twin Photographer and would be honored to capture this special time in your little ones’ lives.
